I have been the sole voice of design at kickoff meetings check points and in consultation with stake holders. My charges have included:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Creating interaction and visual interface designs for online and mobile platforms<br \/>\n\u2022 Translating and synthesizing requirements, guidelines and feedback into appropriate designs<br \/>\n\u2022 Devising and diagramming experience flows<br \/>\n\u2022 Concepting and creating proof-of-concept functioning prototypes<br \/>\n\u2022 Designing pixel-perfect, on-brand mock-ups for front-end coding<br \/>\n\u2022 Leading a design team on extensive site wide initiatives<br \/>\n\u2022 Producing site graphics and modules that meet site and brand parameters<\/p>\n<p>My clients have included:\u00a0Symplicit, AMP, ANZ, Toyota Finance, Fiserv, Westpac,\u00a0Orbitz.com,\u00a0NexTag, Inc., The Inspire Foundation, NSW Department of Education and Training, SCAD Group Inc., Arc Worldwide and Leo Burnett.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>2008 to 2010<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Professor<\/strong><br \/>\nSavannah College of Art and Design, Graphic Design Department, Savannah, Georgia<\/p>\n<p>As a Professor I was responsible for the instruction of 12 courses a year in the classroom as well as online. Most courses pertained to web site design, construction and management. I also reviewed applicants for admissions, evaluating their competency in the discipline and provide curriculum input for the Graphic Design department\u2019s web design track. I also chaired the Social Media Committee for the department and was on the Instructional Technology Council for the university.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>1999 to 2005<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Senior Art Director<\/strong><br \/>\nArc Worldwide, a Leo Burnett Company, Chicago, Illinois<\/p>\n<p>As a senior art director at Arc Worldwide (formerly Semaphore Partners and Giant Step) I developed the flow of e-commerce interaction, site information architecture, visual interface designs, and overall brand experience. I estimated design effort for project budgets and time lines and verified project plans for design team effort. On larger projects I lead and art directed teams of designers and production artists to complete tasks within set deadlines. I worked with clients to develop strategic design solutions that met their needs and offered their consumers value added services through easy to use online tools. Those clients included GM, JCPenney, Lexis Nexis, Maytag, Sears and USG.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>1997 to 1999<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Designer\/New Media Specialist<\/strong><br \/>\nLiska + Associates, Inc., Chicago, Illinois<\/p>\n<p>As a Designer and New Media Specialist at Liska + Associates, I worked independently and in teams with other designers to develop compelling and appropriate communication design solutions. I worked in both print and digital media on brand development and implementation through Web design, product literature and other forms of marketing material. I played all roles on projects from the development of strategic creative briefs, project schedules and site architectures, through the visual design process to the last stages of programming and production.
